ZIPS Car Wash Announces University of Kentucky® Multi-Year Athletics Sponsorship with JMI Sports

Plano, TX – (August 31, 2022)— ZIPS Car Wash (zipscarwash.com) has announced its multi-year investment in the University of Kentucky® athletic programs through an extensive sponsorship agreement with JMIS and is now the "Official Car Wash of the Kentucky Wildcats™.”  ZIPS Car Wash recently moved into the university’s backyard and is proud to support the local team at their eight locations in Lexington. ZIPS owns and operates 18 locations across Kentucky, and over 250 locations across 24 states.

Leading the car wash industry in collegiate sports sponsorships, ZIPS is committed to enhancing the Wildcat fan experience both on gameday and beyond. This multi-year partnership will provide ZIPS Unlimited members, retail customers, and Wildcat fans a sweepstakes to win gameday tickets and VIP experiences throughout the UK Football, Basketball and Baseball seasons. Ticket giveaways kick off this Friday, September 2, with eight tickets to Saturday’s game given away at ZIPS Car Wash, 1250 S. Broadway, and “17 Days of Giveaways,” begins Monday, Sept. 5. Fans can enter to win tickets now in the ZIPSme Portal, an enhanced, online customer experience that offers sweepstakes, partner perks and the freedom to manage a ZIPS Unlimited Membership online, or by visiting any ZIPS Car Wash.

“The University of Kentucky and our partners at JMI Sports have all made us feel a part of the Wildcats family from the beginning and we’re proud to take on this new sponsorship role in Lexington to support collegiate sports,” said Mark Youngworth, CMO, ZIPS Car Wash. “We’ll be activating and implementing co-branded swag and LIVE events at our car wash locations to make this sponsorship fun for our local customers as we support the Wildcats together,” he added.

A component of its multi-year agreement with JMIS, which was negotiated in part by Genesco Sports Enterprises, enables ZIPS to kick off the football season with college gameday ticket giveaways. The first set of tickets will be given away this Friday, September 2, at 1 pm at ZIPS Car Wash, 1250 S. Broadway just minutes from the University of Kentucky® campus.

Additionally, ZIPS is celebrating the season by offering Wildcats™ Loyalty Cards for the first 250 customers at all eight locations in Lexington this Friday. ZIPS Loyalty Cards unlock for retail customers exclusive savings on every car wash purchase through July 31, 2023.  It’s overall sponsorship agreement provides ZIPS with significant brand visibility among the university fanbases through assets which include IP marks, radio, social and digital products.
